Today's Elections

Below are the canidates that will be running for govenor today. Check out their positions on issues and what they stand for. Do agree with them?! Who do you think will win?
Jill Stein:
-          REPEAL OF SALES TAX ON BEER AND WINE à No, because of the negative repercussions that it will.
-          REPEAL OF THE CHAPTER 40 B AFFORDABLE HOUSING LAWà No. Although she thinks the current  law is highly flawed it is working, but we don’t have a good enough substitute
-          CUTTING THE SALES TAX TO 3% à  No because “there is already a $2.5 billion dollar budget shortfall looming for next year. The loss of an additional $2.4 billion from the proposed reduction of the sales tax from 6.25 to 3% would be devastating to programs that working people rely on.”
-          Reform of Marijuana Laws- Jill it should be legalized.

Tom Cahill:
-          supports gay marriage
-           believe is job creation
-           it is important to invest in many forms of alternative energy and need to consider nuclear power, natural gas, wind and other sources as unconventional power supplies.
-           health care has failed to address the issue of cost. He will tackle this problem head-on to make the system more efficient and cost-effective.
-          states should have the power to address the problem of illegal immigration themselves if the federal government won’t
Deval Patrick:
-          supports gay marriage
-          opposes death penalty
-          supports the cape wind energy source protects
-          thinks immigration is a federal issue

Charles Baker
-          social liberal (in favor of gay marriage and abortion rights)
-           fiscal conservative, stressing job creation as his primary focus

Idea of My Blog...

So I have decided that my new and main theme of this blog will be all about the news and interesting things I find. This blog will have interesting write ups that will link you to different articles and videos. Hope you like it!!
The main purpose is to reach high school and college aged kids and inform them of what is going on in the world. I think it is very important for kids to be informed in what is happening and this blog will give these teens a place to read.

From this idea I have come up with the logo of this blog which will be:
Education of the World, Will benefit our Future.

Boston City Hall Clerk Makes Bail.

Greg Horan, 30 signed for a FedEx package that contained teddy bears which were stuffed with approximatley 2,000 OxyContin tablets. Horan was charged with trafficking and possesion with the intent to distribute.
Tuesday morning, Gref Horan was arrested and has been put on an unpaid leave from his job; he was a manager in the city’s worker’s compensation office.
From the comments people submitted under the Boston Herald, people are astonished that this man would sacrifice his well paying job that they assume gives he great benefits for a huge risk. Others say that he should do right to jail. Greg will be back in court on November 19th.
